Joomla also allows us to manage and attach tags with our articles. Tags are simply a type of category but very specific. You can attach more than one tag to any article and it does not have any hierarchy. It will basically keep your visitor engaged with your site. When you create a tag and attach it with an article, your visitor can see the list of articles available under the same tag.

Manage tags in Joomla
Log in to the admin panel of your Joomla and click on the Components -> Tags option given in the top menu bar. See the following screenshot.
To create a new tag, click on the New button with the green background just as highlighted in the following screenshot.
On this page, Enter the title, Alias, details and other important information about your tag. You can also select a parent tag, status, Access, language and much more.
After entering all the required information, click on the Save button given on the top-right corner of the page to save a new tag.
