Change WordPress Admin Username from Dashboard
This tutorial will help you to change WordPress admin username via Dashboard.
By default, WordPress administrator username is admin. We can change that admin username and this will increase your WordPress website security.
1) We need to create a new user. So login to your WordPress wp-admin page.
2) Go to Dashboard —> Users —> Add New.
3) Select ‘Administrator’ in the field ‘Role’ before click ‘Add New User’.
4) Now you can see new user.
5) We need to delete current admin user.
6) Create a backup of WordPress database before deleting admin user.
7) Logout from admin and login as new user.
8) Then delete old admin user.
9) Set ‘Attribute all content to newuser’ in drop down box before clicking the button ‘Confirm Deletion’.
10) Now admin user name has been changed to new user.
