Search Engine Optimisation is important for almost all the websites on the internet. It is because search engines can provide you laser-focused traffic by showing your site’s pages in search results. The organic traffic from search engines is very valuable because search engines will always rank you on the keywords you are targetting. Everything is good, but search engines like Google use around 200 factors to rank a specific website on a specific keyword.
One factor is how the URLs of your site looks like. If you have post URLs containing IDs and some other information regarding your post, you might not get the rankings you deserve. Search engine friendly URL contains the keywords you want to target. Not always the targetted keywords, but the URL should be easy to read and remember. For example, https://example.com?type=article?id=130 is not a search engine friendly URL because you cannot guess what is going to be on the page. But, https://example.com/article/seo-in-joomla is a search engine friendly URL.
In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to enable Search engine friendly URLs in Joomla. So, Let’s get started with the tutorial.
